Hike with the Pros

Breathe in the captivating views of Cache Creek canyon while hiking the trails. During your fist mile that consists of a 600-foot climb, keep your eyes out for eagles, tule elk, osprey, and other wildlife that call this home. This is a guided four-mile hike led by The Bureau of Land and Management natural resource specialists and you can join in on Saturdays; April 9, 16, 23, 30 and May 7.  Reservations are required so give us a call and we will see you soon. 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (707) 468-4000.

Lake County: A Little History

The history of Lake County California derived its name from the many lakes most prominently clear and Clear Lake was formed more than 2 million years ago. Mt. Konocti formed gradually through numeric volcanic eruptions. Pomo Indians settled the area over 10,000 years before Spanish soldiers arrived in 1821. By the mid 1800s, the area was being settled by pioneers and Europeans. After being part of Mendocino, Colusa, and Napa counties, Lake County was formed on May 20, 1861.

What's Happening this Saturday in Lake County California


2nd Annual Car Show is happening this Saturday at Kelseyville Lumber located at 3555 N. Main Street.  Kelseyville Lumber has partnered up with Lakeport Speedway once again to bring out the best of the best in automobiles.  Be sure to come and join the festivities!

Saturday Join Us for Concerts with Conversations
Tallman Hotel at 9550 Main Street is hosting a benefit for the Soper-Reese Community Theatre Fund.  This informal concert and dialogue is part of the monthly concert series held January – May featuring live music in an intimate setting with extravagant hors d’oeuvres and wine, hearty appetizers, and coffee with dessert. 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reservations are suggested as seating is limited.
