Saturday: Grand Opening of Brassfield Estate Winery & Tasting Center

The Brassfield Estate Winery & Tasting Center pays homage to the California mission-style in reclaimed materials from the early 20th century. The ranch was one of the first homesteads in Lake County. Come and join us this Saturday from noon until 4p.m. Tickets are $10.00 per person and all proceeds will be donated to Safe House of Lake county so see YOU there!

And of course you will want to join us for a wonderful Memorial Day Celebration Parade starting at 8am on Sunday! Celebrating 150 Years of Lake County" is the theme for the annual community celebration.   Parade begins at 11:00 a.m. and travels from the Fairgrounds on Martin Street to 9th and Main Streets.  Pancake Breakfast, barbeque and live music. Arts and crafts fair on Saturday and Sunday.   Activities take place on the shores of Clear Lake in the open area at the intersection of 7th and Main Streets.

Friday: Lake County Sesquicentennial Celebration Step back in time to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the creation of Lake County. Enjoy a re-enactment of the May 20, 1861, signing of incorporation that carved a section from northern Napa County to create Lake County. Period costumes, entertainment, displays, refreshments. 28th Annual Catfish Derby Registrations Open Today!

Cast your reels in the largest catfish derby west of the Mississippi and benefit for community projects sponsored by the Clearlake Oaks/Glenhaven Business Association.  Adult Derby with a $4,000 grand prize and Kids Derby for those 15 years old and younger, grand prize awarded Nintendo Wii 2. The event will be held from noon Friday through noon Sunday. Early registration will be from noon to 11:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, for $40. So go Register Now!
